I started painting in 2004, because I believe in a future characterized by love, peace and ecstatic joy. My paintings are my personal investment in this future. I paint for the present, envisioning all of humanity as having already reached this future. I paint for the past, and the forgiveness of all regrets. I paint for the past, present, and future, because I know that the past is not unchangeable, and the present is shape-able, and the future is inevitable. In my paintings I like to think there's something for everyone. I enjoy the challenge of painting scenes that are different from what I have painted before. In this undertaking, I strive to create paintings that help me to connect with different people with different aesthetic senses. |

Circles, and the Circle Series, represent to me a commitment to shared community responsibility. If I say that I am one circle in this image, then the rest of the circles represent to me the population of the world that I inhabit. In this image, I am never again alone or isolated. In this image, the weight of responsibility for this world rests equally on all who participate in it. |
